NY to UK via France

Just found one of your earlier postings that gave me the idea to take my pets to the UK via France. This is a great idea and the United will let them travel in the cabin! Just a question... Read somewhere that France requires an "Export Health Certificate" or alternatively the PETS documents in French? Is this still the case? Any info would be so appreciated :)
